Very close to the Kruger National Park, the Chitwa Chitwa Lodge offers ideal views. Two lodges are concealed behind this cheerfully sounding compound name: the Game Lodge and the Safari Lodge. Set in a magnificent location in the midst of the private Sabi Sand nature reserve, the Game Lodge complex offers a total of 12 guests both adventurous and exclusive holiday accommodation in six cottages.
Built in traditional African style, the cottages all have a direct sea-view and so offer an exclusive yet sheltered setting for observing wild animals.

Nothing but African bush, witnessed in an open Land Rover with an experienced ranger. Even in thrilling situations, he keeps his hands firmly on the steering wheel. Scouts keep a lookout for wild animals. Guests sit safely in the back. Theres a lot to experience here. After all, your trained companions really know their way about the South African bush.

Theres water in sufficient amounts in the Chitwa Chitwa Lodge. All the cottages of the Game Lodge are right by the lakeside. An adjoining private pool provides the necessary refreshment after a hot safari in the small hours of the morning. A first-rate breakfast can be served here too on request.

The Chitwa Chitwa Lodge offers numerous contrasts, both outside and inside. Many elements of style are combined here in a lively fashion. Its like a jungle. Everything is there.

When the evening sun shines through the spacious glass window fronts, spreading its long rays over the warm yellow and brown tones of the interior decoration, a harmonious interplay of light and shade, of shape and colour, of tranquillity and relaxation arises. A view into the distance from the sheltered security of your surroundings - these are contemplative moments for you to enjoy.

The elongated wooden roof structures create an impression of protection and security.

The individual lounges are directly linked to one another and so they provide a lot of space to stroll up and down in and to view South African objets dart which appear to be arranged incidentally. Some of the upholstery has a touch of safari about it, some of it is in sleek leather. In between these elements of culture and wilderness, you can quietly look back on the days impressions over an aperitif, tell a few huntsmans yarns and go into dinner with the appetite of a lion.

A noble but yet relaxed atmosphere prevails in the Chitwa Chitwa dining room. Completely in keeping with the style of the hotel. Different decorative elements are mixed together in a lively way here too. Just like the furniture. Now and again, guests all sit at one table and enjoy the wide variety of dishes together. Every meal is a culinary feast, whether typical South African specialities or Mediterranean-style nouvelle cuisine, whether its enjoyed under tall roofs or under the starry African sky - it never gets boring. Especially when the friendly waiters serve you exquisite wines from the very well stocked wine cellar.

The cottages blend almost invisibly into the surroundings. And they offer complete privacy. Here, the jungle comes right up to your window. Its no wonder then that guests happily enthuse about unforgettable moments.

The deliberate use of natural materials can be found all over the Chitwa Chitwa Lodge. There are no fences, just natural boundaries. With their rounded shape, the straw-covered roofs, too, are completely adapted to nature. Reaching down low over the walls of the huts, they give real meaning to the term protective roof.
African design and European elegance define the interiors of the individual cottages.
The vast bedrooms offer exclusive comfort.

There are inviting, private niches in the lounges of all the suites in Chitwa Chitwa. In addition, each suite has its own dressing room.

Each cottage has its own unmistakable charm and offers a lot of space for privacy. They all have one thing in common though: cosy areas to sit in, comfortable bathrooms, private sun decks and an uninterrupted view of the lake beside which wild animals bustle about. From here, you can happily enjoy a view of the unmistakable variety of an African nature reserve in which man is gladly at home as a spectator.
